Full liquids can consist of water, tea, coffee, juices, popsicles, broths,
milk, sodas, jellos (jello melts into liquids). Applesauce is not okay as
it is considered a solid, as is puddings.

Liquid diet is just that...liquid...as the previos poster said...tea,
water, jello (turns into liquid as do popsicles) etc...it's not going to be
easy, but if you want this surgery it MUST be done. Good luck and God
bless!

well if its strictly liquids, then I would say no. even though applesauce
is smooth, its really not liquidy enough..id check with your dietician
first. i did fresh or frozen strawberries, blueberries, and bananas with
some juice and made smoothies. they were yummy, liquid, good for me, and i
was able to put my protein powder in it and get it all at the same time.
hope i helped you.

If you are uncertain of your doctor's requirements, you should contact
his/her office. Different surgeon's have different requirements. If it is
a clear liquid diet, then you are talking broths, water, tea, coffee, etc.
If you are talking just liquid (not clear) than you can include other
drinks such as milk IF YOUR DOCTOR ALLOWS MILK. I say that because my
doctor does not. He specifically prohibits milk due to the milk sugars.
This is true regardless of whole milk, nonfat, etc. One more thought, most
liquid diets (clear or otherwise) allow for sugar free popsicles and sugar
fee jello. Again, please check with your doctor's office for the specific
diet you should be following.

Full liquid diet can also include creaned soups with the chunks strained
out.
