I am 2 years post op and had TERRIBLE gas and loose, horribly unexpected
loose stools. I have FINALLY conquered these issues with proper diet. I
eliminated preservatives and additives of any kind and eat all whole foods
(I am a smidge away from becoming a total co-opting hippy chic!) I make my
own bread in my bread maker with whole grain whole wheat bread and watch
all ingredients (including yeast). I absolutely refuse to eat anything
with anything not completely natural. Natural whole foods and fiber slow
down digestion and sooth the angry intestines that the horrible gas comes
from.

try Beano for the gas and Devrom for the odor. OH used to sell Devrom for
$19.95 a bottle but if you buy Devrom direct from the company it only costs
$9.99 a bottle (same amount). Devrom is chewable and tastes like bananas.
Do a search on google for Devrom, the manufactuer is Parthenon, Inc. Best
of luck!! Mickey..............Was gunna joke and say welcome to the world
of Exxon.........lol

Loredana, thanks for writing. Gas is a terrible side affect of this
surgery, but one we need to cope with. I have gas all the time, but I do
tend to be able to manage it by what I eat most of the time. Check out
what you are eating and see if you can make some adjustments. Sometimes
things you used to eat and not get gas change. I had surgery to not take
other medications, so I avoid them, and learned to pass gas quietly. If
you have a strong odor, it could be because you are need of a BM more
regular than you think. You can solve that with fiber, exercise and water.
Check with your surgeon for suggestions, but I say work with it and keep
the chemicals away as long as you can. Take care, Patricia P.
