hI!! I am trying to find out if anyone knows any Bariatric surgeons in New Jersey ..

that accept medicaid I live in Essex County so any where close to here. I see on this site that there is a Dr. Pasupathy he accepts medicaid but he is over 2 hours away from me and I need a Dr. closer to me. THERE IS A DR. BILOF AND NAUSBAUN IN ST.BARNABUS IN SHORT HILL W.ORANGE THERE ARE DOCTORS IN HACKENSACK HOSPITAL AND ALSO IN JFK. GOOD LUCK.

Did you try Dr. Abkin in Florham Park? He does is surgery out of Morristown Memorial Hospital. I would highly recommend him to anyone however I am not sure if he accepts medicaid.

I have Dr. Vishal Mehta in New Brunswick. I highly recommend him and his staff. Don't know about the insurance thing, good luck with that, but you won't be disappointed with Mehta Bariatric Center.

I'd try calling medicaid (the # should be on the back of your card) and ask them who they cover for bariatric surgery. Then you can spend your time talking to doctors you know you can actually see rather than calling 30 more doctors and finding out they don't see medicaid patients. Good luck!
