Question:
I'm 11 mos. post-op and experiencing a frustrating plateau. Advice?
Even with exercise, I have not lost any weight for a few weeks. Has this happened to anyone else? How long did it last? I'm watching my caloric intake VERY carefully right now. — kimfest (posted on April 1, 2006)

As it closed in on a year, I stopped losing. I do not know where you are,
but, although I would like to lose that last twenty pounds, I am pretty
happy with my results.
If you want to lose more...back to the basics, maybe a personal trainer.
You still have about seven good months. Give it your all.

You are ready know 'what' it is - a plateau. The best advice is stop
weighing yourself except once a month.

I am 18 mos. post op. I stopped losing weight at 10 months. I started with
a bmi of 40 and now it is 24, which I am happy at, although it would be
nice to lose another 10 pounds. I haven't had any problems with maintaining
this weight. But if I want to lose anymore I'm going to have to work hard
to do it.
