Question:
Need help with getting approval on new insurance claim.....

I found out today that my company has a self-funded insurance plan. So, when I asked the HR person about it, she asked if she could help and I told her about the initial denial I received, that I am switching doctors and will be filing a new claim after my appointment on May 22. I emailed her and basically told her about all of the information I have collected on why for me this is medically necssary. Does anyone have experience with this particular situation and can they advise me as to how I can get my company to get the insurance company to drop their criteria, (see my profile for details) and approve the surgery?    — Diana M.
