Question:
I want to buy a second individual policy for my primary insurance,
My current primary insurance through my work has denied my first claim. I am going to appeal, but am researching options to buy my own individual insurance. I would like to maintain my work insurer as a secondary, but as I was talking to a insurance agent, he said that I couldn't do that because I would be overinsured. What? Does anyone know if that applies in Texas? The only reason I want to keep my work insurance is because I don't have to pay for it and would like to have it as a backup for medical costs. I would never make double claims for the same treatments. Any help is appreciated. — Diana M. (posted on April 19, 2001)
