If you think your band might have slipped, call your surgeon right away and
make an appointment to go in to see him for a check-up. If you are
experiencing pain, tell the nurse your signs or symptoms.
No, your band will not "slip back" into place. An eroded band
can be very dangerous, even life threatening. Please ask your surgeon
about it.
Go back to the Basics: Eat only when hungry, Chew your food thoroughly and
slowly, take small bites, wait 3-5 min. between bites, don't drink with
meals, drink your 1.5 - 2 qt. of water per day, and eat nutritious (high
protein) meals.
Join a support group and visit your surgeon every 1-2 months to have him
check on your progress and "fill" your Lap-Band as needed to have
optimal results. Good Luck with your adventure into good health.

From what I have heard & read is that a slipped band causes pain and is
more painful when one tries to eat or drink anything. I personally have not
had a slip, but do know 2 people who have. Both of them were able to go on
liquids for a few days and the band DID go back into place. This is what
our DR recommended and it worked.
