Sara,
Yes, you should be able to find a GI doctor to help you with your post
surgical care. Ask some of the people where you have moved to who they use
or recommend a doctor.
Good Luck and God Bless,

I would start to go to support groups to meet people. Than you can ask them
about the area doctors. I wish you good luck.

YOu cannot just go to any GI doctor, nor to any other gbariatric surgeon
without research. Best you go to the USA State ma of where you are going on
OH and check out alol the LapBand surgeons. Call ahead and see if they take
patients from otehr surgeons. Even thoguh our lives here are so mobile,
liabilty is great for a surgeon to take any patient that is not theirs.
Also go on the web site Allergan.com, the company who makes our band here
in the States, and also any Mexican doctor. They will have a list of
doctors who wiol take other patients not their own. Remember when you had
the band you signed up for lif long car. IT needs to be checked regularly.
Just any GI doctor will not do. It is your responsibility the rest of your
life to find care for it. I travel a lot and find a LapBand doctor ahead of
time anytime I'm gone for a long period of time.
