Question:
I have BC/BS but it has an exclusion I will be covered under Aetna 10/01/2008
will there be a problem because I know that Aetna Covers WLS. — sadiebelle (posted on August 5, 2008)

It's impossible for anyone on this board to know if there will be a problem
or not as insurance companies hard difficult to work with and in my
opinion vary their policies.
The best thing for you to do, and you have to do anyway, is call the
insruance company and get all the information you can on what you need to
do to get the surgery. That way if there is something that requires lead
time you can get started on it.
You have to get the information from the insurance company as they and no
one else will allow or deny the surgery.
I had lots of trouble with my insurance company but in the end I had my
surgery on Jan 14, 2008. It's the best thing I ever did and I've lost 85
pounds.

Different employers may decide not to offer WLS in their Aetna plan so be
prepared! Don't give up easily though...keep fighting for a new you! Good
Luck:)

all information every week to see if anything chcanges. Good luck..
