Any surgery is a shock to the body, and hair loss is a
possiblity--according to my RNY surgeon. He recommends a daily Biotin
supplement--more than 100% . There are several brands out there. There is a
mediated shampoo also, but it's not very cheap. I think it may be Nizorole
or a similar name. My surgeon stated that people that use the shampoo, use
it initially every day--once some improvement is noted it's used every
other day, and when vastly improved once or twice weekly. This is due to
the cost of the shampoo. My surgeon also recommends starting a Biotin
supplement for those with major fear of hair loss, as a preventative
measure.

You have to eat more protien. It will grow back. Mine did.

There is a shampoo and conditioner for thinning hair it's called Nioxin. It
is a little pricey but I use it along with taking a Biotin everyday....hope
this helps :)

eat more protein -- no pills or vitamins will 'make' your hair grow back
-- hair is made out of protein in the body -- good luck

Protien is the answer for sure. I used Nioxin shampoo....started it before
I had my surgery and it help a little.....protien is the only answer that
will help it to stop falling out. It did mine, I finally found a wonder
protien powder and I still drink it today and I am a year and a half out. I
know I do not eat enough to get the protien I need, so I drink it in a
shake. GNC has some great protien that you wont even mind drinking....my
favorites are the orange cream and banana cream. They have several others
to choose from. So good luck, do the protien and you will see a difference.

I take 10,000 mg of BIOTIN each day. It helps a lot. I purchase it at
Walgreens. They run it on sale (Buy one/Get one) almost every month, and a
bottle lasts a month, and only costs $10.
