Question:
Anyone take Ritalin before anesthesia and have problems??

I know this is something your surgeon will/should go over with you. I know that I was advised to stop certain medications prior to surgery, like asprin. As far as my antidepressant, hypertension and thyroid meds, I was told to continue those, but NO meds the day of surgery. They will continue your meds in hospital the day after surgery. But again, please ask your surgeon, that what he gets paid the big $$$ for.

your surgeon will have the answer for you -- you will be filling out paperwork asking what medications and herbal medications you currently take -- good luck to you :)

You should meet with your anesthesiologist before surgery. I met with mine at my pre op appt. He is the only one who can safely answer that question.
