Try adding some sugar free jello from the packet to help flavor your
drinks. I like Strawberry bannana. Just add a little to a vanilla shake.

I bought the Fuzzy Navel protein powder and mix "Old Orchard"
reduced sugar apple juice (can get at Meijer and Kroger) and ice - blend it
up and it is delicious. I also got the chocolate Whey protein powder at
WalMart. I mix 1/2 tsp of regular cook pudding -chocolate and mix it and
the powder with ice and skim milk. The pudding helps the chocolate flavor.
I also got the vanilla whey protein powder from WalMart and blend it with
ice, Crystal Lite Sunrise Classic Orange and a 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.
I like my protein drinks to be milkshake consistency, so I blend all of
them. The best thing I ever bought was the Magic Bullet (as seen on TV).
It blends in the cup you drink out of and the clean up is easy. Also, you
can do a search on a search engine for protein drink recipes, etc. to get
different things. You can always buy the unjury or non-flavored protein
powder and sprinkle a little of it in everything you eat or drink
throughout the day to get extra protein. I hope this helped! - Ginger in

What have you tried and how did you make them up? Any of these are what I
use:
1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender
or Magic Bullet).
2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken.
3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel
sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended.
4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz hot water, stirred or
hand blender.
Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon
fights belly fat.
I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of
vit D3).

I tried a lot of different ones. But I finally found on I love. It is
from GNC Pro Performance 100% Whey Protein, Chocolate. I drink it most
every day. I mix it with "Hood Calorie Countdown" milk (it only
has 3 grams of sugar) and with ice, mix in a blender, or I use a
"Magic Bullet" (love it). Good luck to you!

The best thing I have found is chocolate Unjury. You have to order it
online and it mixes easily with milk. I have lost 100lbs since May 2,
2006. Good luck

I like SportPharma Whey Protein Shake mix (chocolate). I mix it with
non-fat milk. They sell it at Costco in a 6lb container. You can find
smaller sizes on the internet if you want to sample before committing to a
big quantity. They also have vanilla flavor which is ok, but I think the
chocolate tastes just like regular chocolate milk. I've tried a number of
other products before finding one I could actually enjoy drinking every
day.

Thanks for asking your question, it was one that I faced when I had
surgerytoo. I a almost 3 years out and when I first had surgery I really
struggled with the flavor of protein drinks. I never desired to live my
life on supplements anyways (drink supplements) so I just kept working at
protein issues. Cottage cheese and applesauce were favorites for me. Milk
is an excellent source of protein even though it probably gives me gas.
The individual soups you can buy have a good deal of protein in them. I
wish I had known then, but just learned this year that each shrimp has 1 gr
of protein in them, so I buy a pound or two of shrimp every few weeks and
keep eating them. At 3 years out I can eat about 15 at a shot, but at your
stage probably just a few at a time. Milk was my best source because it
was liquid and I could drink often. Cottage cheese is quite filling. I
didn't like eggs, they didn't go down well. Don't forget you need sources
of iron. You just need to research proteins and start trying them out and
see if they work for you. What works for me may not work for you. Find a
calorie counting website and they usually also list protein counts. Buy a
book, do some research that will help yourself. I am glad that I did what
I did and stuck with food. I can pretty much eat anything I want in small
portions. Occasionally I struggle with a food, but not forever. Just
remember than less is more with this type of stuff. You have to train
yourself that less is more. Obesity is a head issue with a body
consequence. You have to train your head or your body won't win. Best to
you. Patricia P

have you tried AnyWhey Protein? it is almost tasteless, and you can put it
in your coffe, in your soup, in your juice, you name it, you can put it
there.. I am 4 months out and my protein intake is very good the only
complain I have is that my hair is falling off big time and I increased my
protein with AnyWhey, I put it in my meals when I'm cooking and to my
coffee and juice, and it is helping. Visit this page :

I hope it helps.
Good Luck

My surgery was Jan. 9th. I found that drinking a Dr. Adkins Advantage drink
and adding a scoup of whey protien to it is very easy to take in as the
taste is not bad. Although very filling, you get 15 grams of protien from
the shake itself and another 23 from the added scoup of whey protien. I use
the chocolate whey from Walmart. I use one of these during the day as a
meal and then add another one in the evening. Best of luck to you. Hope
this helps is some small way. You can also make an orange smoothie; 1 cup
lite orange juice, 6oz. vanilla yogurt, 1/2 banana, 4 frozen strawberries,
1 TBL. splenda and 1 scoup of whey(unflavored or vanilla). Blend in a
smoothie or blender of some sort. This taste really good! Alot to drink
though. Best of luck! :-)
