you didn't say how long ago you had had your surgery or what type of.
However my counsellees are recommended toto walk in the hospital as much as
they feel they are up to.
1. walk one street light at a time as soon as they come home from surgery,
2. To discuss with their surgeon how soon they can begin anything like
weights, because you could begin sooner if your proceedure was
laporoscopic, but more caution needs to be followed with a procedure that
employed sutures. Discuss this with your surgeon and keep very connected to
him make him your ally and try to find someone who has had your procedure
by the same Surgeon, then you can get a real handle on it. But in the
meantime, walk every day if you can at least 40 minutes, or are working up
to that. How wonderful that you are geting into it and are starting on this
amazing journey to good health
Please write me if you wish I will be happy to forward on any particular
program that I have for fat burning.
All the best for your "new you" that is emerging.

Hi, it is an individual decision with the doctor's advice. Your doctor
will tell you when you can start and you pace yourself accordingly.

Ask your surgeon. You should begin walking immediately after surgery. You
should be able to lift ligth weights a few weeks after surgery. Try soup
cans for light weights!
