You have to make sure your doctors (primary and surgeon) have been
documenting that you are having problems with the extra skin. Skin removal
for most insurances consider this cosmetic surgery. I'm going to have butt
and thigh lift. I have to pay out of pocket expenses of 4000.000 plus I
want my arms done so that is an extra 2,500.00. Total expense $6500. My
insurance is paying the rest. The problem is before we have this by-pass
doctors should tell everyone that skin removal does not go hand in hand.
Some of us will have to live with the extra skin and that can be hard. One
of the negitive effects of this surgery. I wish you the best of luck.

Hi. It is really up to you and your PS to get together a good case for an
appeal. This means getting together documentation (i.e. visits to other
docs) about your skin rashes and related problems. Sometimes they want 6
months of these problems before considering PS. read the denial carefully
and try and determine the reason, also.
