Question:
Is anyone else hungry?
I am 7 months post op and down 152 lbs. Lately, I have been REALLY hungry. Before, I felt mild hunger and so little food usually took care of it. These past few days, I am feeling way too hungry. Like I want to snack. I won't do it, but I don't like being hungry either. I have been trying to drink MORE water to make me feel 'full'. I am curently on ANOTHER darn plateau. This is NOT head hunger either. Anyone else experiencing this? — Ginger M. (posted on June 3, 2003)

I am a new postie at only 3 weeks out, but I already have days when I don't
feel full. Not even at the end of a meal. I have not vomited, or dumped,
and have been eating what I have been directed to. I can only imagine how I
will feel after 7 months since I haven't experienced the sense of fullness
that I thought I would early on. Good luck to you, and congrats on your
weight loss.

If you read the Q&A board much, you'll find that this is a common
occurance around 6 to 8 months. I'm personally, not sure if it has to do
with the fact we get more energetic at this point...I know that is about
when my energy kicked in full-throttle and I was doing a LOT more
things...or if it has to do with the fact our pouch gets a bit larger or a
combination of the two. I suspect both are the culprit. If you're doing
more, I wouldn't stress over eating enough to quench that hungry feeling
(time your snacks/meals out so it's not grazing). Just make sure you keep
doing what your doing (I read your profile :>) and choose proteins and
veggies first. Great job on the weight-loss!

I do not know if this will help answer your question, but when i was
talking to my dr. about exercise he reminded me that the more active u
become u will feel hungrier and will want more food. He told me make sure i
eat a little more or i could end up not losing. Hope this helps you

You're experiencing the end of the honeymoon period. This is normal. Read
the pouch rules for good info on how to manage this:

When you feel that hunger feeling, drink a protein shake, they really help.
