Your lungs won't collapse because it was WLS surgery, they can collapse
from any surgery. I think its from the anesthesia? Either way, I know
your lungs can collapse after any surgery.

Hey there, im not a dr or a nurse but i beleive when we are put to sleep
most our bodily function shut down, when we wake up after surgery, its up
to us to get them flowing again, bowl, lungs and such...I remember my lungs
were collapsing after surgery because I wasnt breathing enough I wasnt
excersising them. its important to do the breathing treatments and
excersising ur lungs after surgery so you can get them working again
otherwise they will collapse and you will get ill and also it hurts i
remember feeling it...good luck to you
