Question:
Can't find a support group! Getting nervous
My surgeon is out of town. Surgery is in 1 month. I've been unable to locate a local support group or dietician who is familiar. I'm feeling nervous! Any ideas? — Ann M. (posted on August 22, 2002)

I dont have an answer to your question but I do have a suggestion. Have
you been to spotlighthealth.com?? There are so many people on the message
boards and from all different states. I have seen so many groups form for
support to fellow WLS patients. Ive never seen so many helpful people in
my life!! I bet they can help ya!!
Good luck!

Good Morning Ann
I went to "find a peer" section on this site, and looked up the
town you are from. There are many people listed. Have you tried to contact
any of these people? It could be a great way to reach people close to
you,and they may have some idea's of support groups. Or better yet you all
maybe able to start your own group, I know you must feel so alone right
now, but there are people out there that care, and will be willing and more
than ready to talk to you.
Best of luck Ann
