Question:
Need Help!! How can I get rid of these 9-10 pounds by 8/23/02!!
Well, I'm going to try this one again. Stress factor is about to kick in again...I posted this question several weeks ago, and received one response. I don't mean to be a bother, but I can't seem to get these pounds off. When I went to my surgeon on 11/30/01, I weighed 238 lbs-now I'm at 248!! I've tried a couple of "quick weight loss" diets, and the pounds won't move!! Water, walking...nothing is happening!!GGGGGRRRRR!! I've gone through entirely too much to have my surgery cancelled. Should I go ahead and try the Adkins Diet?? It was recommednded a few hours ago. AT this point, I'd just want some suggestions, please~~~HELP!! — yourdivaness (posted on July 11, 2002)

Hiii I lost wieght with out trying before surgery by simply drinking freash
veg juice for several weeks before surgery. My dr did not ask me to lose
any before surgery so I was not trying but I love freash veg juice and I
had just gotton a new Juicer . My husband was buying tons of freash veg
and making me a different juice each day and i was having that with little
else other then to take alot of vit. I wanted to be in good health before
surgery. I went from 276 to 260 on surgery date . The akins diet is also
good -- O carbs and high protien -I lost 60 on that when i went on that
diet at one time . I wish u much luck :-)

Have you thought about Weight Watchers for the month. First of all you
would have to weigh in every week and second they give you a very good diet
to follow. I think when I did weight watchers I lost 8 pounds the first
week. It was probably all water but 8 pounds is 8 pounds. I think the key
is weighing in every week and make sure you are getting that weight you
need to off. Good Luck. My surgeon did not make us lose weight, Thank
God.

As an after thought to my last post, I know when I was doing Weight
Watchers my weight fluctuated a lot during my cycle. Could be that also.
Good Luck to you.

Hi. My personal recommendation is a low/zero carb diet like Atkins. You
have a month- can you eat the following things;
turkey, bacon, eggs, butter, cheese, mayo, chicken, beef, water, water,
water? NO sugar, even in catsup, no veggies or fruits, but all you want of
the zero-carb items. It sounds easier than it is but you CAN do it! Good
luck to you!! My surgery date is 8/14/02- see you on the thinner side!!
