Question:
Does anyone have a completer Journal from beginning to end?
I am wanting to see some accounts of surgeries from beginning to end . Does anyone have a Diary of there experience from beginning to present. I am just wondering I have read a lot of journals but none that really go into detail. Can you help? — GabbyMcB (posted on August 19, 2001)

Hello! I just wanted to tell you that I was looking for the same thing. I
found the best journal that documented from pre-post-op (and yes, it's
still being kept up today) is that of Renee Ackerman. Her sight is

I have read several of these journals right here on this site. I must
admit the one that sticks in my mind is Ally Bishop. She should be a
writer. Very entertaining, through ups and downs, happy and sad times. I
think it took me a couple of days as I didn't have the time to sit down and
finish it. I was sad that she quit as I could have read more. Just the
right amount of humor, because if there is one thing you need through all
of this is humor.

You could also try looking thru the section on this site of long-term
journals. There's a whole separate area for extensive ones. Not all are
complete, but most have a good bit of detail....
