I'm 4 months out, nervous cant seem to get full, I thought this was suppose to keep me from eating so much. I have lost 68lbs, walk 2 miles a day, strengthing excerising every other day and have stayed the same weight for 3 weeks, this seems like everyother diet I've been on, is this just me? Am I doing something wrong? — Debra Keith (posted on February 17, 2011)

Your just at one of those points where your weight loss is at a stall.
Change up your work out routine. How are your calories? Maybe your not
eating enough with all the exercise you do. You might not be getting
enough in. GOOD LUCK!

Well, I know I sound like a broken record, but this is what I had to do to
lose my weight. I wasn't allowed any carbs until I lost 75% of my weight.
Go see your NUT or Dr., they can advise you.
Good luck

I am wearing the same shoes you are. I am 4 months out and have lost 56
pounds. I have stayed at this same weight for the last 3 weeks. I am also
feeling more hunger than I expected to. I talked to my nut and was told
that feelings of hunger are normal at this point. However, it is very
important to know whether it is actual hunger I am feeling or just head
hunger. If I am actually hungry I should try to fill up by eating water.
Assuming I am meeting my protein goals, foods like celery, grapes, melon,
and other watery foods are full of nutrients, low in calories and very
filling. We all hit plateaus, we just need to find some way to change
things up in order to boost our metabolism and keep our bodies from getting
used to the same old same old. Good luck to both of us.

THOUGHT THAT A FEW HINTS OR POSSIBLY REMINDERS MIGHT HELP YOU OUT HERE. (
BEEN THROUGH THIS AT AROUND THAT DREDDED 4 MONTH POINT)
1. don,t drink 30 minutes before you eat and wait 1 hour after eating to
drink again. Yes that includes water.
2.do not eat more than 1.2cup to 2/3cup of food at any meal.
3.always eat 3 meals at the same time each day and 2 snacks of protein in
you still feel hungry.
I learned something that was not taught to me... Eat your meal or snackof
protein BEFORE you do alot of exercise to feed your muscles and it prevents
those hungry feelings.
4. Make sure that you are drinking lots during and after the workout.
5. if you get the hunger on a normal day then you need to try and drink
first. your body might be giving the signas of thirst and your head is
reading it as hunger, ( been there)
6. As your body adjusts to the changes in your body you will hit plateaus.
NORMAL! just keep at it kiddo you will see results all of a sudden. You
might not be seeing the scale change but try to measure once a week and you
will notice changes in the tape measures.
7. Another thing that can upset the weight loss is your lack of sleep. Try
and get at least 10 hours per day and 6-8 should be consecutive.
Hope that this helps.

remember protein first. it helps you feel fuller longer. i hit a stall at
four months out as well. but it wasnt so much a stall as my body adjusting
to itself. now i am losing again, slower but every pound counts. they
told you about the physical things you can do to help a stall, i just
wanted to remind you of the mental. add up your victories. can you tie
your shoes, buckle a seatbelt, walk more with less difficulty, have people
get their arms around you when you hug, notice your jawline again, see your
ankles, gone down in cloth sizes, looked in the mirror and smiled and meant
it, had someone you care about compliment you, played with your kids longer
and with more quality, worn a swim suit, sat in a theatre seat without
jamming yourself in and then gotten out of it without having to unstick
yourself from it, all of these are victories i have experienced. there are
tons more. Mentally count your victories. keep track on a chart so you
can see how well you actually are doing, even during the stalls. know that
you are making a choice to be HEALTHY not to be SKINNY. big huge
difference. good luck to you!
