Hi Linda, I had RNY 7-08 and am at my (lost 150lbs) goal weight. Now I
need to mantain. Follow good eating habits. I could not tell what you had
or are having done. Have you spoke with your Dr and what they expect? Also,
what has the NUT told you about maintaining? I dont know if that is any
help..wish you the best of luck.

hi! when you reacvh goal you will learn to eat what you need to, to stop
losing. I went from 3 2 ounce meals a day to 4 4 ounce meals and 1 snack a
day to maintain. I went from 800 calories to 1300-1500 cals a
day...depending on my workouts. When you get to goal, call your clinic and
discuss your eating with them. they helped me a great deal. I lost weight
during this learning phase but was able to carefully put back on to get to
where I wanted to be. i have been there since (12months).best of luck and
hugs, kim

My issue with people saying "my goal weight"... why must there be
a goal weight set?. No matter what surgery you choose, if you set a goal
weight once you reach it you'll try hard to maintain, and then that will
one more something to worry youself over. ok lets say, you make it to 130,
and the follwing week your at 135, then you struggling to get back to 130,
(WHY)?....When you just lose the weight and be happy at the todays
progress, and not pressure youself to be such and such weight, you'll see
just how much more prouder of yourself you will be. I have no set weight
goal, because, when I was 230 I was happy when I made it to 220 and and it
keeps going down! I just urge you please dont set a goal weight because
what WILL happen is you'll get lost in emotions and put much undue stress
on yourself you dont need!
