Question:
Has anyone tried BE-Bariatric Eating products?

Yes, some are great - like the sugar free cherries, but I find them a bit expensive for me - for instance I absolutely love these "rockin roll bars" by labrada - they taste like paydays = they are $25 a box plus shipping on BE, if you got to www.Bodybuilding.com - they are $19 and if you spend $75 (which I get my protein powder and 3 boxes) you get free shipping and a gift - I keep getting t-shirts :-)

Yep, they have some flavors of protein that I can't find other places--right now they have candy cane until it runs out. I also find that I get a bunch of stuff in one spot rather than multiple spots that I pay seperate shipping on.

They have great products but they can be expensive. Shipping costs are high unless you order $75 and I can't always spend that much. I just got an order this week. I order 4 of their protein powders and a case of Believe. Believe is absolutely delicious. I've tried many RTDs and couldn't stand them, but I love these. Unfortunately, free shipping doesn't apply to them and with added shipping, each bottle runs about $3. I use Nature's Crystals sweetener, but get it from netrition.com for about $5 less. The think I like about their Inspire protein is you can mix it with 4 oz. of water or milk and it mixes well plus tastes good. Their protein is top quality.

I've tried many of the BariatricEating products, including the Protein Sampler Package. It was a nice way to get samples of really good quality protein and to find out what I would be able to stomach during my post-op period (unlike some other people, my tastes didn't change after surgery). I especially LOVE their Inspire Peanut Butter Cookie protein powder. The Inspire Caramel Latte was a little too sweet for me, but if I added a teaspoon of decaf instant coffee, it was fine. The BElieve ready-to-drink protein bottles are delicious, and some of the protein snacks are really good, too. Problem is, like someone else said, they can be really pricey. So, even though I love their products, and keep them on hand, I use them only for special occasions or as a treat for having an exceptionally good day but being short on protein grams. I've found that I can live with the Syntrax Nectar Sweets protein (Vanilla Bean Torte and Chocolate Truffle - available at both GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe for $35 without shipping charges). One good thing though, is that you can purchase about 30 different kinds of DaVinci Sugar-Free Syrups at BE, and use them to flavor your protein powders, and then, no matter what protein powder you use, it tends to make it a lot more paletable. They have, for instance, Kalhua flavor, caramel, mint, mocha, almond, and many others.

I love ordering from them! Their calcium supplements are to die for! I love the hot cocoa and the lemon, plus they have great protein drinks that are just delicious!
