You may have to do like I do and get a B12 shot every month. I take
Bariatric Vitamins with B12, two sublingual B12's a day but it is not
enough. I start getting very tired and low energy at the end of the month
when my B12 shot is due. I go get the shot on the first Monday of the
month and I am great within 24 hours of that shot.

You didn't say when you had your surgery. For me, the first 6 weeks were
horrible, I was tired the entire time and all I wanted and did do was sit
in my lazy boy. But then, I suddenly got a burst of energy and started
moving and have been moving ever since, smile. Also, look into your
vitamin intake and you may need to make adjustments, I'm not a good one to
give advice in that area as I have never done what I'm supposed to do on a
regular basis...shame on me.

You should have your iron and b levels checked, also thyroid problems can
cause this. Go see your fodctor so they can figure out what is going on.

Also if your protien or fluid intake is not enough you will feel tired.
Also your Amino acids being off can affect energy levels too. I had to
increase my fluids and protien and make sure I wasn't getting too many
carbs that make me feel tired. I hope you feel better soon.

You might not be getting enough protein or water in your diet. Try bumping
both of those up or try one at a time and which one works better. Also,
have your iron levels checked. You might have developed anemia. I was
anemic, not from the wls, but another issue and it sounds like it could be
that. Although contact your doctor if you have tried the water and protein
uptake.

Check with your surgeon or his dietitian/nutritionist. If you need more
vitamins, you might check out spray vitamins. I use 'Vitamist' vitamins.
They are daily spray vitamins that are absorbed better than pills, liquids,
and sublingual vitamins. I take a woman's multiple vitamin, one with
calcium and magnesium, and a high dose of vitamin B-12. I get very
nauseous with any other type of vitamin (no matter what time of the day I
take them or whether I take them with food or without). I almost gave up
on taking vitamins until I found Vitamist.
Any time you are having a problem related to your surgery, don't hesitate
to call your surgeon. Also keep your family physician up to date on
everything that is going on with you. They really are the
"experts". We can tell you our experiences and share information
we've learned over time, but we can't replace your doctor. He is the one
who can discover whether there is something more serious going on with your
health. I wish you all the best. God Bless.
