Congratulations on your surgery!!! You should contact your MD immediately
especially if you are takingi diabetic medications. I left the hospital on
a sliding scale of insulin and in 2 days got off it. I continued to take
night time insulin and had to be in very close contact with my primary MD
and a close eye on my sugars as well because they fell rapidly. Several
nights I set my alarm for every 3 hrs to check. Needless to say I was able
to get rid of that insulin very quickly. Low bloos sugar can be dangerous,
so I hope ypu contact your MD right away. Your surgeon probably will not
want to help with sugar requlation as that is not his or her field. Good
luck PAM

My doc let my sugars stabilize on their own...Once they were under 200...he
stopped the insulin...that was only two days!

Hi Linda, I noticed when my sugars would get low,I'd eat potato soup for my
next meal and it would pick it up. Hope this helps 2Lazy2Mike
