Question:
Should it be this way?
About 2 months ago I had my fill completely remove, but when I eat, it's like I still have my fill in because I can only eat a small amount, without me filling that I need to vomit. Since I dont have any fill in me I thought I would be able to eat the same way I did before I had the LAP-BAND. Is this normal? I convince myself that I need to heal. — cajeal (posted on February 6, 2009)

If the band is still in place you still have some restriction - even
completely unfilled there is still a band around your stomach.

I've heard report from so many that they could eat whatever they wanted
before getting filled. I'm not sure how, since the band is still there. I
don't have a fill yet, but I still feel "something" restricting
when I eat bites of solid food.

This does sound a bit strange to me. I needed to heal and had 1cc removed.
I have been able to eat everything now and have to be very mindfull about
not gaining. I would not worry, consider yourself lucky! As long as you are
not thowing up, BPing or having bad gas pains, you are fine and probably
still losing or not having to work hard to maintain! I would ask my Dr
anyway if it really concerns you. And remember, everyone handles the band
and the amount of fill differently.
