Question:
Low Carb Dieting after you stop looseing
I had a WLS in 1995 and for the most part it did wrk. I had a set of twins and some medical issues where they had to stretch my pouch. Well I ended up gaining almost everything I had lost back. So in Feb 07 I had a revision. I only lost 89lbs. I was told that a revision is not as sucessful as the 1st time. SO I am considering the low carb diet of no more than 25 carbs a day. What I am afraid of is the fat intake. Has anyone done a low carb diet? I can eat pretty normal not as much but I do get hungry alot more often than I did the first time. I just need someone to give me some advice. It's easy for my friend & family they have never had a weight problem so they just dont understand!! — blondy_41770 (posted on October 21, 2008)

i would recommend that if you are worried about fat, you supplement your
diet with a fat inhibitor supplement. i would recomend going here
www.liposin.com

The low carb diet is the life of us LapBanders during the weight loss
phase. We are supposed to stay under 30 gms carbs per day.

I have done the "low carb" thing before my surgery. It actually
gave me alot more energy (carbs make me sleepy). As long as you keep with
your lean meats and other lean proteins you should be fine. I was able to
eat veggies like salads and brocolli that helped to keep me full. The
biggest issue is going to be when you start to intorduce the carbs back
into your system. If this is the route you decide to take make sure that
you can make it a lifestyle.
