Question:
weeks out -38lbs, how much did you loose at 7 weeks out??
I lost 5 pre-op and 32 post op. I have been stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks now. I want to know if I am on the right track, it seems since I became a little more free with my diet I have been stuck at the same weight, help any suggestions, and please let me know how much you lost at 7 week post op??? I am only 2 weeks post op, but I am already slightly plateauing. I lost 16
pounds pre-op with a liquid diet. Then 12 lbs post op so far. I am slow
and steady, but not the type that loses 10lbs a week, evidently. What I
noticed is that I have been afraid to eat. Not becaue I'm not hungry, but
because I wasn't sure if I would feel full or sick or whatever. Last night
was the first time I ate (all pureed foods still), but had a variety and
finally felt the difference between "full" and "I'm stopping
here because I'm scared". I got on the scale today and did lose
another pound. So...I think maybe we DO need to eat a bit more to get
ourselves out of starvation mode PLUS increase protein. Maybe?? God
bless...

Hi, I am 1 month out and have lost 36 pounds so far, and am thrilled. I've
noticed though, that if I don't get enough fluid, my body will hold on to
the fluid I do put into ME. As soon as I start getting my fluids right
again (takes a few days to catch up actually) then I see a loss right away
(with enough fluid). And of course, make sure to exercise and do not, not
eat... you need your food. Good luck and congratulations

Hello, I am now 7 weeks out and I have lost 40 lbs. I lost 35 of that the
first month though, I've been on a plateau since then. I saw my doctor and
he said it is not uncommon to hit a plateau this early, imagine my
disappointment though. It is true, if you get all of the water and protein
in, the weight does come off faster. Good luck to you.

I had my open RNY on 10/8 and I have lost 55.6 pounds. A couple of weeks
ago I hit a plateau and someone told me to up the protein. I did and lost 2
pounds. Protein helps not only your hair and nails but also a jump start on
weight loss. Try the protein and see if it works. Remember that we all lose
at our own rate of speed. You are doing great.

I had open RNY on 11-27-07 and I am down 42 lbs. I think the more protein
we eat the more we will lose. Keep up the good work.
