Question:
Anyone tried Activia?

I was wondering if anyone has tried the 2 week activia challenge after wls? My Mom had surgery in July and has had issues with constipation and she ate 2 activias, 2 different days, and it gave her diarrhea. Which is definitely better than constipation.    — *Malena* M. I haven't tried doing the challenge, but if I remember correctly there is alot of sugar in that. which could explain the diarrhea. I like the benifiber, i mix it in with my food and i cna't taste any differance and there is no chalky taste for me. But take a look at the sugar in that. and if she wants to eat yogurt, have try the dannon light and fit.

I've done the Activia Challenge, it does really work and you'll lose extra too. It was suggested by a Bariatric Coordinator and I'll keep using it now!

Activia is a yogurt that is made with ingredients that help to regulate your digestive tract. Also, to the previous answer, it only has 17 grams of sugar, which may seem like a lot but according to my surgeon 30 grams is the most you want to eat in one "meal".

I'm a little afraid of the sugar in Activa, I'm 16 months out now, and haven't dumped yet, and am terrified of the prospect. But I found Sundown Chewable Acidophilus with Bifidus (the bacteria in Activa) at National Wholesale Liquidators. There's no calorie count on the bottle, but it has one gram of sugar, and "one billion microorganisms per wafer." [I have a mental image of a tiny turnstile counting off teensey bacteria as they scurry into the pill] It tastes a bit like a yoghurt candy, yummy. So far, it's helped me with gas and bloating problems, plus my two month plateau has suddenly vanished, and I'm a big loser again! Hope this helps!
