Question:
With the Obesity now a named disease have any laws changed for texas?

Have the laws changed in Texas requiring employers to cover obesity related issues. Right now it is iron clad exclusion but with Obesity being named a disease will that change it? We have renewel at the end of the month.    — GabbyMcB (posted on September 9, 2004)

Hi Gabby, I just posted to a similar question. You may find some answers if you go to the Library area of OH and put in Law(s). The State of Virginia has a law that requires insurance companies to offer it, but that doesn't necessarily mean that an employer has to buy it. I hope you get your answer.
