Well, for what it's worth, I had surgery June 2002. I am down 157 pounds,
and exactly 20 from where I want to end up. I am scheduled for a belt
lipectomy on October 6th, along with hernia repair. I asked the plastic
surgeon about that last 20 pounds and whether he thought I should wait or
not. He said no, because I will lose around 10 pounds or so just from the
skin removal. The remaining 10 pounds won't make any difference to the
amount of skin he can remove ( or how tight he can pull things). So
anyways, I am going on with it. Hope this helps.

Hi Bobbie: You're far enough out and close enough to goal to consider
plastic surgery now. The only thing you might want to think about is if
anything will change if you give it more time. I had no back side at all
at a year post op. I might have considered a lower body lift if it would
have been paid for by insurance. After another year my rear filled back in
a bit, so I'm glad I didn't jump on it. I'm waiting right now for
preapproval for a tummy tuck. So consider away, but do really think about
it before you make your final decision. Good luck. S
