I feel the same way! I am 10mo post-op and I have been eating alot this
past month, I feel like im failing. I even eat things that I know will make
me dump. The only thing I can do is wake up and try to start over again. I
do good during the day, but at night I munch non stop. I try to work out or
do things to keep me busy, but the food just calls my name. I feel like im
out of control, but at the same time im so enjoying the food again. I hope
you can beat the food, im going to keep trying. I did'nt go through all
this for nothing:o) Good luck to you hun!

Bonnie, I can certainly relate to what your feeling and going through.. I
find myself sometimes eating non stop through out the day and so the next
day i try to get back on track... just because we spend a day being naughty
dosnt mean we are failures..they operated on our tummys not our
brains..dont beat your self up over this just remember if that scales goes
up we must use our tool and make it go back down..good luck to you...

like the other poster, i too can hear the food calling my name. i sometimes
feel so crazy just thinking about eating something i'm not supposed to,
that i will go ahead and eat it so it will be gone and i won't have to
think about it....but that is the dumbest idea because i always feel guilty
after i have eaten it...strangelol. the best advise i can give is when you
have that "i gotta eat something" feeling , is to think about the
worst single moment you had being MO. keep thinking of that image and
hopefully it will help with the willpower. good luck to you.

I am in the same boat...and scared also!!! I am 2-1/2 years post op RNY
open. I do not weigh as I am still in the state of avoiding the scale. Went
to the doc two weeks ago and as I shut my eyes I told them do NOT tell me
what it is.
But, I am very scared and worried about obsession with food. I hope you
hear from someone soon so I can see what they have to say for you. Good
luck (to all of us)!

are you a member of [email protected], if not give it a try.
It is for people at least 1 year post op. Ther is an ongoing discussion of
post op hunger, which I find very helpful.
