Question:
Has anybody had problems being approved for insurance by going out of network?

I do not have a doctor in network so they approved me to go to a doctor out of network but in the Cigna HMO Family. They approved me for 3 consults in which I just finished my last visit with doctor and he is now submitting my case to insurance for approval. Has anyone been denied by their insurance for surgery after being approved for the consult out of network?    — LEE R. (posted on July 14, 2002)
