Lifesaver, that's what this site should be called.

I happened on this site after searching the web. I read, read, and then read again. I became informed and was ready for a big fight. My primary doctor listened, and then agreed to give me a referral. My HMO has a utilization review board so this became another hurdle, since they denied my initial request. Today I finally took the plung, wrong a "from the heart" appeal letter, and was extremely surprised to recieve a phone call at work just before quitting time, telling me that I was approved for a consult at UCLA. Thank you so much for making the road a bit smoother. I know you are earning "gold stars" in heaven. Please keep up your wonderful support and hard work. It works, your are our angels!    — Kathy D.
