Question:
5 days out, hurts to drink (sip) water but not to eat (spoon) baby food. Normal?
Can anything help? I'm thirsty. Katey — Katey (posted on January 10, 2010)

Wow-that happend to me too. I am not giving medical advise, as that is best
recieved from medical personnel, but I have found that sipping water really
hurt! What I ended up doing was to sip Crystal light, for some reason that
made a differance-don't know why, but when ny hydration level was checked I
was dead on! This coming from a person that at four years out can only
handle a couple of spoonfuls of food at a time! (about 1/4 of a cup)Check
with your doc, that is the best, but for you and I to have this in common,I
would think that it is "normal" as much as us
"re-arrangers" can be! Good luck!

I am about two weeks out and had pain when eating baby food but did not
when drinking water. However, I have some when I drink the protein shakes.
I love the cold drinks the best and
they seem to work well for me. Good luck and call your Dr. and ask
questions that is what they are there for.

I am almost 3 wks p/o for a rny and this happened to me too. I found that
cold water didn't do it to me as
much. It is seeming to get a little better now. Hope this helps! Take
care, Kristin
