I haven't had my surgery yet, but I have read other posts and seems like
sugar free popsicles, and sugar free jello works good. Good luck to you!

I was just like you, the smell of broth would have me gagging and I had
been instucted to stay on liquids and stuff for two weeks. So I just called
the doctor and he instructed me start soft foods, scrambled eggs and so on.
So I did. It went down well. He did say if I felt bad after eating or felt
like something was stuck to go back to liquids and try again in a day or
so. So you may just try the scrambled eggs and just remember to chew very,
very long and take small bites. Good Luck....

When I left the hospital, I was able to have fat-free-sugar-free instant
pudding (I put a little unflavored protein powder in it), and jello, in
addition to the broth and the IsoPure protein shakes and New Whey bullets
in my fruit flavored herbal teas. I would make a large cup of tea, pour
half of the appropriate flavored bullet (orange, grape, blue raspberry, or
tropical punch) into it, and sip on it all morning. Gave it a nice, tangy
flavor that I missed when I no longer needed it. Within a week, I was on
EggBeaters, Fat Free Cottage Cheese, Smooth low-carb yogurt, and Taco Bell
Refried Beans (which I added a little beef broth to). That lasted about 3
- 4 weeks, then gradually we got to add things in.

there is jello, popcicles, broth, v-8 juices..I heated and seasoned mine.
milk, fruit juice-if you dilute it 50 50 with water. Make sure you are
getting of liquids as you will dehydrate fast and rehydrating can take
weeks! best of luck ! hugs,Kim

Isopure. It's a clear flavored drink, high in whey protein (40 gm per 20
oz bottle), that comes in many flavors. I have convinced myself that it is
my new pop, now that I can't drink cokes. Here in Texas, we get it at HEB
grocery, or cheaper at Nutrition Depot. It got me through the first month
and now I use it as an occasional suppliment.

Hi Alex, you are weak because you need more protein. You can up your
protein by adding a scoop of powdered milk to a glass of skim milk. If you
have a Costco in your town, I found that they sell a protein shake with 30
grams of protein, only 1 gram of sugar, 3 grams of fat. This is more
protein per ounce than I have found in anything else. 11 Fl.Oz. Two of
these a day will give you 60 grams of protein and I am sure you will feel
better. You also need a B12 soluable vitamin. For something better than
broth, try sugar free jello with some sugar free cool whip. Its really a
treat when all you have had is broth. You should also be able to soon have
cream soups or ANY soup put through a blender. For me tortilla was a life
saver. I hope this helps and stick with it, the hardest part is over.
Best of luck to you!

Alex, I am sorry, the name of the protein shake with 30 gms of protein

Protein shakes (50 to 55 grams a day this means one meal is a shake it will
take a couple hours to sip) go to Vitamin shoppe but Gold Standard 100%
