Question:
what is the norm for cc in the band?
I have had 3 fills and 7.5 cc,the only time it seams like i fel the food sit above the band is if i eat dry meat like pork or beef roast. I wishi knew more about this beforei had my surgery because now I am confused as to what i should be able to feel and what is normal. — charlenemk (posted on July 29, 2009)

I'm 8 months post LapBand, and I have 6cc's and haven't had a fill for the
past 3 months. I don't drink any liquid with my meals, and I wait for at
least 30 minutes after eating to drink anything. Liquids only flush the
food thru, and I was told that the band is suppose to slow the food down
thereby keeping me feeling full longer. So far I have lost 86#. I can eat
3 meatballs and I'm full. If I eat the 4th one, I throw up. That keeps my
portions small and my tummy full. I don't count fat grams nor calories. I
only count carbs and my limit is 30 Grams a day. I eat my protein first,
so if I get full, it's not on crap. I have my "cheats" like 2
Hersey's dark chocolate kisses for my dessert. I also eat popcorn once or
twice a month.
Don't know if that helped you, but these were things I have learned along
the way.

Talk to your dr and tell them how you feel. Maybe your band is too tight?
Maybe you aren't chewing enough. I have had problems.... Anyway..bands are
different sizes therefore they hold different amts of saline. Also
everybody is different. Some people have their band filled to capacity.
While others have never had a fill

This is very true, if you have a 10cc band you probably will need it fuller
to fill that it is doing anything. I have a 4cc band and I have 2 and a
quater cc's in it. I have had my band for 3 years now. My sister in law has
the 10CC band and she has 7 in it and still doesn't feel alot of
restriction. So everyone is different...and its different with band size as
well.
