I can't tell...did you have the lap band? If so, was it the Realize? The
loose stool is common in the beginning...better than a hard one, if you get
my drift! Also, are you and Oregon gal? I'm in Coos Bay/North Bend. I'm
also a bander, so email me, jeri

I had RNY gastric bypass.... and had the runs for about a week. It was
unpleasant, as they were uncontrollable and would come at unexpected
moments, and I had to have help cleaning myself and everything around me
up... but they DID go away, and now everything is much better. But NOW, it
might be three days or so before I have a bowel movement. I think I need
to follow my doctor's instructions and just take a stool softener every
evening before bed.

I had the same problem for about a week and still do everytime I do liquids
after a fill or while doing a carb detox. When I complained about it to my
surgeon, he said it was better than the alternative which is constipation
and is the usual. Told me to be thankful.
