Sorry, I meant, for those of you that had the Lap/RNY post-op 1 plus years,
does the funky bowel/urine smell/texture ever subsides?

It is probably from the antibiotics they gave you in the hospital.

It isa never the same as it was before. Urine smells strange because of the
vitamins.

Ruth I totally understand where you are coming from. I am 2 yrs and 3
month out and without my Devrom I choke. This question was asked a while
back by me and someone suggested the Devrom pills that you purchase online.
Believe me, it help some.

The short answer is yes it gets better...provided you listen to what your
body is telling you about what you eat.

The urine smells are all that stuff you are losing along with the keytones
(wasting of protein/muscle), fat, excess vitamins, etc. Drink plenty of
water to flush it out! That does go away...But the other end is just
unpredictable! LOL Often there is a chemical smell that is just not quite
right, ever again! LOL
