Question:
Has anyone else cheated and found their way back?
I am 8 months out and find myself going back to old habits a LOT. Cookies for breakfast, pasta, chocolate, chips...no, I'm not eating the same amount, but its not by any means a small amount either. Has anyone else really suffered with this, and has anyone ever made a firm decision to change themselves once and for all? How did you do it? — wecangetright (posted on November 13, 2007)

Yes!! I crave chocalate once in a while but I DO NOT take it to the extreme
because then I feel very sick. I think you might wanna rethink your
choices!!

What about counseling? Do you think that would help? We need to find out
why we keep going back to old habits. You could try the Weigh Down
Workshop. It's spiritually-based.

Yeah, about once a month. I've found natural potato chips and chocolate
covered raisins work for me during my menstrual cycle and after that I'm
good.

I know! Isn't it so frustrating! I wish they would have given me some
willpower when I had the surgery. I am 4 years post op.

Hi Katie. It's not a matter of going one way then another. It is just a
daily battle. Take one day at a time. If you can't control something you
should be, don't let it be in your home. If I can't control an item, I
throw it out. Sometimes I can and other times I have to throw it out. It
is about resolving to see the truth of a matter and act on the truth. You
have to get tough with yourself. The decision is yours, but you can't
whine about the consequences if you choose the wrong path. Sorry to be
tough, but the choice is yours, as well as the consequences. Take care.

It's so hard. I allow myself 3 sugar free cookies on days that I do 3 miles
on my treadmill.
