has anyone gone to mexico for surgery, what md?

Go to OH forums, at bottom of states listed, there are out of the country forums which give information, there is one south of the border forum which shows places to go and information about the surgeons. I think there is a south of the border support group also, try putting south of the border weight loss support group. Email me if you can't find anything. I remember a few yrs ago reading about it and might be able to find out info if you can't, also you can go to the regular message board and ask questions. Good luck.

My Insurance didnt cover this surgery either, I went a little farther south than mexico. Lima Peru. I found a top notch MD and great hospital. I had a laproscopic gastric bypass, and in three days i left the hospital and stayed in a hotel for the next week with a nurse. This was at the end of october 2005 and so far i have lost 60lbs and I feel great. the best part is that the surgery cost me 8000 dollars not counting the airfare and the hotel.
