Question:
Long term post-op ladies- I'm about 5 years out and haven't had this problem before
now. It's about a week before my period and I am PMSing like nobodys business, but the problem is no matter how much I eat I don't feel full. Any ideas? I swear I have gained 3lbs this week alone! Help! Thanks, Stephanie 6/26/01- 245/128.5 — sgeisendorff (posted on March 6, 2006)

Its the getting older syndrome... :0) Try not drinking with your meals and
up your protien. You could gain anywhere from 1 ot 6 # just because of
that monthly time. Good luck Rosemary

Well, for me it's the getting older thing---don't know where you are at in
the age thing. Each month I get irratable, bloated, and have food
cravings---especially salty things. I gain a little, mostly just bloat that
is gone within the week. The hot and cold flashes are getting a little
anoying--and hubby gets a little tired of the mood swings. If things get
unbearable, talk to your Dr--there are things we can take. I'll be talking
to her about it at my next yearly--in about a month. Good luck! Bek

Well, I'm only 2 years out and about 6 months ago I noticed this same thing
happening. I am absolutely ravenous about a week before my period and I
*never* had this problem before. I chalk it up to my hormones finally
being in line and me finding out what happens to "normal" people
now. I always heard women complain of this type of thing in the past,
especially regarding chocolate, but never believed it was a real thing
until now.

Nothing really changed for me here! I've always had this problem, and
still have it now. It only seems a little worse now because I'm more aware
of what and how much I'm eating. When I was fat (and not dieting) I was
aware of being hungrier at that time of the month, so i just ate more! LOL
Now we don't want to do that, but our bodies are giving us a different
signal altogether! Hang in there and try to increase protein. I do think
that helps a bit during PMS.
