Question:
I am 4.5 months post and My arm, leg and bag muscles really hurt
Sorry I din't finish . . . . I stopped going to Curves about two weeks ago b/c I thought I was doing to much on the machines (I just can't get passed the soreness) I am no better.I get about 70 grams of protein and I drink my water. I increased my multi-vitamin to 2X. I also take calcium, Iron with VitC, and get a monthly B12 injection. I would appreciate any advise or help . . . Thanks, Michele :) RNY 6/6/03 88Lbs — Michele D. I think your question may have been cut off so I hope I don't ramble too
much. :)
Good strengthening exercise sometimes hurts a little the next day. It is
just lactic acid in your muscles. You may hurt for 2 days and then it
won't hurt again unless you really up you level of weights. A good way to
prevent your muscles from hurting the next day (leg muscles) is after
Curves, go for a long walk. It doesn't have to be a fast walk. Just long
enough to work the lactic acid out of your muscles. Also, just ask
yourself. Was the pain at Curves a good pain or a bad pain. Like if my
knee joint is hurting, it's a bad pain. But if my muscles are aching a bit
from exercising, it's a good pain. It means my body will make more muscle
to stop me from being in pain next time. Those muscles need more energy to
work, therefore they will use more fat from my body for energy. It's the
best way to lose more weight!
