Question:
Is there a good tasting catsup/ketchup sustitute?

My feeling is that since irts eaten in such small quantity the little bit of sugar in it doesnt matter. It is afterall a spice. I do have a friend who gorges on it but he is thin. I have seen sugar free versions on the net but never tried one.

Michele, Yes, I have tried the sugar free Estee brand ketchup and it is very tasty. Although I do not indulge in ketchup that often. Try it!

I tried the sugar free ones- blah! I use the regular catsup but of course, only small amounts-no problem.

I've been eating regular ketchup since only a few weeks after surgery. Unless you really have to have alot of it I'd say just use the real thing - it probably doesn't have enough sugar to make you sick and tastes lots better than sugar free.

Any time I have shrimp I have ketchup. I try to minimize the total amount but have pretty much what I want. Since I do so little carbs overall I'm not worried about the carbs in the ketchup that I might have 1-4 times a week. I have not had any problems dumping from it. Chris

I get zero carb, zero fat, zero sugar, zero calorie ketchup and cocktail sauce from www.waldenfarms.com They also have excellent salad dressings etc. You might try checking out that site. I do add extra horseradish to the cocktail sauce (I like mine a bit "zippier"). Good luck!

Ketchup doesn't have that much added sugar in it. I think most of the ones I've seen has 3g, and then part of it is from the tomatoes. Most larger grocery stores have a diabetic section with a lot of Estee brand products. Estee sugar-free ketchup is quite good. Frankly, I can't tell a difference in the taste at all. I'm not sure right off hand what it is sweetened with, but it tastes like any other ketchup.
