I can't see why it wouldn't be. It is just a clear liquid. Cystal Light is fine, so this should be as well!

Michele- this is an excellent thing to drink post-op, even immediately when you get home from the hospital! It can count toward your liquids and it has alot of protein. 40 grams in one bottle! My surgeon and nutritionist recommend this for us. Goodluck to you!

Michele, I am 7 1/2 mos out and am now addicted to this stuff. It will be fine post-op, it has NO SUGAR, so, it willbe good on your tummy, very freshing and not nasty like those choc/van shakes. Good luck. Heather (305/201/150)

I've heard good things about Isopure. It is a bit pricey at GNC ($3.50 per bottle), but I lucked out. Last week at GNC they had some bottles that are set to expire in August adn had them marked 1/2 price. I checked it out for myself to make sure they weren't expired already. I haven't tried them yet (surgery is 4/16/03). I am worried that I will try something now, absolutely hate it and gag at the thought of it post-op. Yes, it is psychological for me but somehow I manage to do whatever must be done when the time comes. Best wishes!

It is the perfect koolaid type of drink to have during those first few weeks while you are on liquids and cannot get your protein or enough protein in any other way. Its better than the thick shake type of drinks when you are that early out. The flavor to me was kinda strong, so I cut it in half with water, over ice, and sipped all day. 1 bottle is 40 grams of protein for 20 oz. I found mine at GNC.
