Question:
can someone tell me what there experience was with lennox hill in nyc

I had my surgery done by Dr Leitman on 6/28/01, and was less than impressed with the staff at Lennox Hill. I constantly had to ask for help, the nurses acted as if they were bothered by the requests, and never once did any of them ever ask me if I need help reaching my tray, my phone, or even asked if I needed help getting up to walk. I was determined to get around, so I had to unplug my IV from the wall, take off my own pressure cuffs and get myself in an out of bed whenever I wanted to walk. When I returned I had to wait a good amount of time for them to come in and plug everything back in, and it was always with an attitude. It was my first surgery ever, and I was very upset at their lack of consideration. So all I can say is make sure you let them know that you will not be mistreated. If it were not for the confidence I have in Dr Leitman, I would never recommend that hospital to anyone.
