Question:
I am pre-op and usually wake up nauseous. Does anyone know what it is from?

I'm not sure if you are menopausal or not but it could be hormones causing
morning time nausea. when I worked nights and odd shifts, I seemed to have
constant nausea. Odd shifts and just having a sensitive stomach may be
other factors.

Sometimes I wake up nauseous. I am still pre op. I think what causes mine
is that I am just hungrier some mornings more than others. When I eat
something, it goes away.

Are you a diabetic? I have been waking up feeling ill since I developed the
diabetes. I attribute it to the drastic fluctuations in my sugar levels
over night...since I usually feel ill when I get hypoglycemic during the
day. For me, food also makes it pass.

Assuming you aren't pregnant. Do you lie flat? It could be GERD. I would
wake up that way sometimes. I also wake up nervous because my house is like
a war zone in the morning and that makes me nauseous.

That was my biggest problem when I had gall stones. I didn't really pay
much attention to it until the pain came to join it. You should have your
doctor check it out. If it's stones they can just remove your gallbladder
when you have your WLS. I think they check them anyway while they're in
there.

Your question reminds me of the folks who come into our emergency
room with a "headache" and want to know what's causing it.
Nausea,
like headaches, can have a hundred causes. Best see your doc.....but
one thing is for sure.....being "pre-op" isn't one of the
causes.

Take a pregnancy test. Everyone knows that is one of the main symptoms of
pregnancy.
