Has anyone heard of the Gastric Pacemaker?

I saw a segment about the gastric pacemaker on one of the morning news shows a few weeks ago. I don't believe its approved yet and is still in the trial stages, but I'm not positive about that. The man they interviewed said that the pacemaker is not as effective as surgery in that weight loss is considerably slower and not as many pounds are lost. However, although the pacemaker is surgically implanted, the procedure is less invasive than WLS. So as with every other major decision, there are pros and cons. Everyone has to decide what is the best choice for them.
