Question:
Is it near impossible to have lap GB removal after Open RNY?

Hi. I'm 5 months post op and have lost 100 lbs from my Open RNY. I had a gallbladder attack 2 wks ago and another one 2 days ago. The gallstones were confirmed by ultrasound and they are going to remove my gallbladder (probably) on Friday. The surgeon said that with my past Open RNY, that he most likely wouldn't be able to take the gallbladder laproscopically. He would try, but felt that he would have to resort to Open. Has anyone had lap gb removal after Open Gastric Bypass? I would love to hear your experiences. I would really like the shorter recovery time. I have 3 small children to care for.
