Question:
What is this extreme darkness around my neck?

At this time I have extreme darkness around my neck although I am an extremely cleanperson. I was wondering does the discoloration go away as you loose weight or is there something I should be requesting from a dermotologist?    — [Anonymous] (posted on September 1, 2001)

I also have this "acanthosis nigricans" and have tried all types of things to get rid of it. I sure hope that after my WLS that it gets better. I realize that it can be weight related though not always. Take care and God bless.
