Question:
Does anyone have some good recipes for post op patients. This is for a friend.
His sister wants to keep a variety for him. I am waiting for insurance clearance for my surgery, but offered to post the question out to everyone. Please mail [email protected] — Lynn *. (posted on August 27, 2001)

Well, I wish I could take credit for HER genius in the kitchen, but I
can't. Victoria Bowen has wonderful WLS recipes. We all need variety in
our food choices and hers are particularly geared to WLS patients needs,
not to mention delicious. I don't have her site name handy just now, but I
do list it on my web page and you can get it there:

have you on his team !

It's not a recipe...but it's a great way to prepare dinner that has been
easy and great tasting for me. Whether I'm having chicken breast, salmon,
pork chop or turkey breast fillet, I take a piece of aluminum foil place
the meat in the middle along with chopped veggies and pour a little fat
free italian dressing over it, then wrap it up like a little pouch and bake
it at 375 for about 20 minutes, it makes the meat nice and moist and easy
to eat...and you're making just enough so you don't over eat!

It really depends somewhat on the TYPE of surgery he had -- RNY or DS or
Banding, or what. Different people have widely varying post op diets. It
also depends on how far postop he is.
